Us
Who We Are
-
The Net is the youth ministry of
Powell Butte Christian Church in Powell Butte Oregon. A once
small Christian church started in the early 40's that has grown to
about 650 people today.
We believe it is our job as
ambassadors for Christ, to be fishers of men. "The Net"
expresses the desire of our young people for our facility to be used
to catch people for Christ, with the love of God as our
bait.
Our group is made up of imperfect
Crook County and Redmond high school and middle school students who
are, like most, trying to discover, understand and grow a
relationship with a perfect God. It doesn't matter where you
live; if you desire is to discover, understand or grow in a
relationship with God, come visit The Net.
We want to see as many young people as
possible come accomplish 3 things while involved at "The
Net":
- Give up, and Give In to God.
Accept Christ's sacrifice for their sin.
- Commit to continually grow and
learn about faith in Christ.
- Make themselves avaialble to God
for a ministry, so that He can use them to share the message of
Christ with others.

What We Believe
-
We believe:
- That Jesus Christ is the Son of the
Living God, and is nothing less than God Himself
- That the Bible is the inerrant,
inspired Work of God. It is infallible and our guide for
living.
- That God is the Eternal Father, the
Author and Finisher of all. That the Holy Spirit is an
inseprable part of the triune nature of God, and has been sent as
our counselor, teacher, and guide - and empowers us to do His
Service until the Lord returns.
- In the Unity for all born again
Christians through the Holy Spirit. We desire to see a
greater manifestation of this unity for the purpose of encouraging
a world of lost sinners to believe and experience new
life.
Meeting Info-
Our weekly youth group meetings
are mostly evangelistic. If this whole "church thing" is brand
new to you then this is more than likely where ya wanna be. We
also try to throw is a "Road Rage" (bowling, paintball, forest
hide-n-seek, etc.) and an all prayer and worship night once a
month.

Our Youth Pastor
Tony Collins: Tony has been in
youth ministry for 14 years, before coming to Powell Butte as a full
time youth pastor in 2001. Tony worked as the Redmond Youth
for Christ director for 7 years. Tony is a musician and loves
rock and roll (even the heavy stuff). He also likes rock
climbing, filmography, and weird people. Tony and his
beautiful wife Dawn, have 6 daughters and live in
Redmond.
